The Brewers score 21 runs against the Padres, unfortunately the the Padres scored 28. 21 runs, only equal 1 win. Because of their 1 and 2 performance against the worst hitting team in the National League. The hill gets tougher to climb to win the central division. If the Cardinals were to play .500 baseball the rest of the season, the Crew would have to go 32-16, the rest of the season, which is .666 baseball.
Then comes the question of the wild card. Well that task actually might be even harder. First they would have to currently leap frog over 6teams. The Braves, Marlins, Astros, Cubs, Rockies and Giants. The Rockies, the current leaders in the wild card have a better record then the Redbirds.
The Crew without question will have to play better at home, then they have with a record of 6-11 since the All-Star break. The Crews overall record against the Astros in Milwaukee since 1998, is 46-43. The last 2 though, the Crew have played the Astros well at the Keg. In 2008, they finished 6-3 and 7-2 in 2007. The last time they lose a series was 2006, when they went 4-5.
